"Campings Liberté" is a registered trademark with the INPI.

In order to benefit from the services offered by CAMPINGS LIBERTÉ, we kindly ask you to carefully read the general terms and conditions below. These general terms and conditions apply to stays taking place during the current calendar year.

These conditions govern the sale of stays and are valid as soon as the deposit has been paid. Booking a stay implies full acceptance of our general terms and conditions.

These terms and conditions may be modified and/or supplemented at any time by CAMPINGS LIBERTÉ. In such a case, the new version will automatically apply to any new customer, who will be informed via publication on the website: www.campingsliberte.com.

The buyer acknowledges being fully informed that their agreement regarding the content of these general terms and conditions of sale does not require a handwritten or electronic signature of this document.

PREAMBLE

The conditions governing the organization and sale of travel or holiday packages are determined by the French Tourism Code, particularly articles L. 211-1 et seq. The purpose of these general terms and conditions of sale is to govern the contractual relationship related to the sale of individual stays between the company CAMPINGS LIBERTÉ and its customers, and to define their respective obligations.

The fact that CAMPINGS LIBERTÉ does not invoke one or more provisions of these general conditions shall not be interpreted as a waiver. Any booking implies the customer's unreserved application of and full adherence to these general conditions, which prevail over any other document. Unless otherwise agreed in writing and in advance by CAMPINGS LIBERTÉ, these general conditions apply to all customers. Any document other than these general terms and conditions of sale, such as catalogues, brochures, advertisements, or leaflets, is for informational purposes only.

SERVICES, BOOKINGS, RATES

1 – BOOKING AND PAYMENT OF STAYS

The details of the services provided during our stays are outlined on our website: www.campingsliberte.com.

The customer may consult the online catalogue, a printed brochure, or receive information about our services from our booking agents on site, by phone, or electronically. The customer independently selects the services they wish to book at the time of reservation. The customer acknowledges having reviewed the content of the services, the destination, the booking procedures, and all characteristics of the stays and accommodations. They confirm having requested and received all necessary information to proceed with the booking in full knowledge of the facts. The customer is solely responsible for their choice of reservation and its suitability for their needs, and therefore, CAMPINGS LIBERTÉ cannot be held liable in this respect. The reservation is deemed accepted by the customer at the end of the booking process, which concludes when CAMPINGS LIBERTÉ receives the deposit payment for the stay.

The reservation only becomes effective with the campsite’s approval, after receipt of the deposit and either the duly completed and signed reservation contract or acceptance of the general terms and conditions during online booking.

Reservations are only binding on CAMPINGS LIBERTÉ once they have been accepted by the campsite, which reserves the right to accept or refuse them based on availability and, more generally, any circumstances that may hinder the fulfillment of the reservation.

Notably, CAMPINGS LIBERTÉ offers holidays intended for traditional family use, and the accommodations are specifically designed for this purpose. Therefore, CAMPINGS LIBERTÉ reserves the right to refuse any booking that does not conform to this principle or that seeks to circumvent it.

Subject to availability on the requested dates, you may book a stay in accordance with the procedures outlined on page 1.

Your booking request must be accompanied by a deposit of 30% of the total cost of the stay (for rentals and camping pitches) and must reach us within a maximum of 7 days from your reservation date. Your reservation will only become final once the deposit has been recorded. The balance of the price must be paid no later than 30 days before your arrival date. Therefore:

*** For bookings made more than 30 days before the start of the stay: a deposit must be paid at the time of booking. The balance must be paid no later than 30 days before the start date of the stay.

*** For bookings made less than 30 days before the start of the stay: full payment must be made at the time of booking.

PLEASE NOTE: If payment of the deposit or balance is not received by the deadlines specified, your reservation will be considered cancelled, and the services will be made available for resale. In addition, cancellation conditions will apply.

Upon receipt of your deposit, a confirmation of your stay will be sent to you, specifying the remaining balance to be paid.

For rental stays, and for safety reasons, the number of people arriving for the stay must not exceed the capacity of the assigned accommodation or the number of persons indicated on the contract.

PLEASE NOTE: Any shortened, interrupted, or cut short stay (late arrival, early departure) or unused service will not be eligible for any refund.

2 – METHODS OF PAYMENT FOR THE STAY

You may pay for your stay, accompanied by the booking form, by bank cheque or chèques vacances (holiday vouchers): CAMPINGS LIBERTÉ is approved by the French National Agency for Holiday Vouchers (Agence Nationale pour les Chèques Vacances), and you may use them for all your stays. We recommend sending your cheques via registered mail with acknowledgment of receipt. Cheques that are not sent by registered mail and not received by CAMPINGS LIBERTÉ are the sole responsibility of the customer. They are accepted at face value up to the total amount due for your stay, no later than the payment of the balance.

3 – RATES

3.1: Rates and tourist taxes

Rates for all our stays, accommodations, and additional services are available on our website. Rates are determined by category and type of accommodation and are expressed in euros. CAMPINGS LIBERTÉ cannot be held responsible for any changes in exchange rates.

The prices indicated are valid for the current calendar year.

Our prices, including VAT, are subject to change in the event of an increase in the tax rates applicable to our services.

Rates are dynamic and may change throughout the season. CAMPINGS LIBERTÉ cannot be held responsible for any price differences between two stays booked at different times.

3.2: Discounts – Promotional offers

If you are eligible for a price reduction under a promotional offer, you must mention it at the time of booking. Promotional offers are subject to specific conditions, including availability. Furthermore, discounts and promotional offers cannot be combined. Once the booking confirmation or invoice has been issued, the customer can no longer claim any discount.

4 – BOOKING MODIFICATION

4.1: Modification by the customer

Changes to your reservation can be made free of charge up to 30 days before your original arrival date, subject to availability. We ask that you notify us promptly in writing or by email. Any request for modification can only be accepted within the limits of availability and at the current applicable rate.

PLEASE NOTE: In the absence of an express request for modification (by written letter or email) and without indication of a delayed arrival date, the accommodation may be made available for sale again 24 hours after the scheduled arrival date stated on the contract. In this case, you will lose the benefit of your reservation and any sums already paid.

4.2: Modification by CAMPINGS LIBERTÉ

If, before the start of your stay, the fulfillment of one of the essential elements of your reservation becomes impossible due to an unforeseeable and unavoidable event caused by a third party unrelated to the provision of the services stipulated in the contract, or in the case of force majeure, we will inform you as soon as possible.

You will then have the option either to cancel your stay or to accept the modification we propose. You must inform us of your decision within 72 hours.

Cancellation will result in a full and immediate refund of all amounts paid, whereas acceptance will only entitle you to a refund of any overpaid amount, if applicable.

Please note that no compensation will be paid in such circumstances.

5 – BOOKING CANCELLATION

5.1: Cancellation by the customer

In the event of cancellation before arrival, early departure, or delayed arrival—regardless of the reason, including illness, accident, or unforeseen circumstances—the guest remains liable for the full balance of the booking, and no refund will be granted.

All cancellations must be formally notified in writing to the manager of the campsite where the stay was booked.

Cancellation and interruption insurance is optional but strongly recommended at the time of booking.

5.1.1: Cancellation insurance

This insurance is offered as an add-on to bookings for open-air hotel stays and is designed to protect the guest before the start of the stay (in the event of cancellation or late arrival), during the stay (in the event of interruption, vehicle breakdown, assistance, or veterinary care), and after the stay (for forgotten personal belongings).

More information

In the event that CAMPINGS LIBERTÉ cancels the stay due to force majeure, as defined in Article 1148 of the French Civil Code, only a full refund of amounts paid will be issued—no additional compensation shall be granted.

YOUR STAY

1: STAY CONDITIONS

Camping pitch or rental bookings are strictly personal. Subletting or transferring your booking without prior consent from the campsite is not permitted. Minors must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

1.1: Camping pitch

The base rate includes a pitch for a tent, caravan, or camper van, one vehicle, and 1 or 2 people, as well as access to the reception facilities.

The pitch is available from 3:00 PM on the day of arrival and must be vacated before 12:00 PM on the day of departure. In case of early arrival, every effort will be made to reduce the waiting time.

1.2: Rental accommodation

Rental accommodations are fully equipped. The basic package includes between 1 and 7 guests, depending on the accommodation type.

CAMPINGS LIBERTÉ reserves the right to deny access to groups or families that exceed the stated capacity of the rental unit.

2 – ARRIVAL

2.1: Key handover

Arrival days may vary depending on the season. On your arrival at CAMPINGS LIBERTÉ, rentals will be available from 4:00 PM. In the event of early arrival, and depending on availability, everything will be done to reduce waiting time.

2.2: Security deposit

A security deposit of €250 is required at check-in, payable by credit card or cheque. This deposit will be refunded upon departure after a full inspection (INVENTORY) of the accommodation. Management reserves the right to retain all or part of the deposit in the event of failure to comply with cleanliness or damage to the rental. If the guest departs outside reception hours, the accommodation will be inspected afterward, and the deposit returned by post. Retention of the deposit does not exclude further compensation if damages exceed the deposit amount.

3 – DURING YOUR STAY

3.1: House rules

The campsite rules are posted on site. Please read and respect them. All guests must comply with these rules. Each guest is responsible for any disturbances or nuisances caused by people staying with them or visiting them.

3.2: Loss, theft, or damage

CAMPINGS LIBERTÉ shall not be held liable for any loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings in its facilities, whether in accommodations, car parks, or communal areas. CAMPINGS LIBERTÉ also disclaims responsibility in cases of theft, fire, weather-related events, or any incidents falling under the guest’s personal liability. Guests are encouraged to check with their insurer to ensure their personal coverage extends to the stay.

3.3: Pets

Pets (excluding dogs of categories 1 and 2) are allowed in campsites and in designated rentals. They must be constantly supervised and kept on a leash. Any breach of hygiene or safety regulations caused by the animal may result in the owner's expulsion. Vaccination records for dogs and cats must be up to date.

4 – DEPARTURE

On the departure date listed in your contract, rental accommodations must be vacated before 10:00 AM.

The accommodation must be returned in a clean and orderly condition, and the inventory may be inspected. Any broken or damaged items must be paid for, as well as any necessary cleaning or repairs. The deposit will be returned at the end of the stay, less any deductions for damage or cleaning. If the accommodation has not been cleaned prior to departure, a cleaning fee will be charged (as per the applicable “cleaning fee” rate). For late departures, an extra night may be charged at the current nightly rate.

5 – IMAGE RIGHTS

By accepting these general terms and conditions, the customer expressly authorizes, free of charge, CAMPINGS LIBERTÉ LACANAU to photograph or film them during their stay and to use such images, videos, or audio recordings on any media for a period of 5 years. This authorization also applies to all individuals included in the customer's booking. The purpose is to promote CAMPINGS LIBERTÉ nationally and internationally through its websites, brochures, social media, commercial presentations, or travel guides.

6 – IMAGE AND PROPERTY RIGHTS

It is strictly prohibited to take photographs or videos for professional or commercial purposes within our premises, including (but not limited to) photo shoots, video shoots, or advertising campaigns. Any image capture intended for public or promotional distribution requires prior written authorization from management.

Failure to comply may result in immediate expulsion without refund, as well as potential legal proceedings.

OTHER CONDITIONS

1 – COMPLAINTS

Guests may express their dissatisfaction regarding their stay through a complaints mechanism. Complaints can be submitted by post, by email, or through our post-stay satisfaction surveys. During the stay, our reception staff are available to handle any issues. Complaints may concern discrepancies between the accommodation and the booking, or between services provided and client expectations. Management is committed to responding to all non-anonymous written complaints in detail. If the customer seeks compensation, the request must be submitted by email and post to the site manager within one month of the stay, including the booking reference number.

2 – LIABILITY

In accordance with Article L.212-1 of the French Consumer Code, CAMPINGS LIBERTÉ ensures compliance with the services provided.

The customer expressly acknowledges that CAMPINGS LIBERTÉ cannot be held responsible for false information provided by its partners or any third party, especially regarding descriptions, photographs, activities, services, or operating dates shown in brochures or on the website.

All photos and text used in brochures or on the website are non-contractual and for informational purposes only.

It may happen that certain activities or facilities mentioned in the brochure are unavailable, due to weather conditions or force majeure as defined by French courts.

CAMPINGS LIBERTÉ is responsible for fulfilling all contractual obligations. However, CAMPINGS LIBERTÉ shall not be held liable in cases where non-performance is attributable to the customer, a third party unrelated to the contract, or a case of force majeure as defined in Article 1148 of the French Civil Code.

3 – DISPUTE RESOLUTION

Any complaint regarding a breach of contractual obligations must be sent in advance by email and post to the campsite manager.

The customer and CAMPINGS LIBERTÉ agree that their relationship is governed by French law. In case of dispute, jurisdiction is given to the competent courts.

4 – PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION

5 – CONSUMER MEDIATION

In accordance with the provisions of the French Consumer Code regarding "consumer dispute mediation", the customer has the right to free access to the mediation service offered by CAMPINGS LIBERTÉ. The appointed mediator is the Centre de la Médiation de la Consommation de Conciliateurs de Justice (CM2C).

This mediation service can be contacted by post at: CM2C, 14 rue Saint Jean, 75017 Paris.
